ANNUAL CAMPS.

TERRITORIALS AND CADETS. During the next few weeks the annual encampments of territorials and cadets will take place nt Burnham and elsewhere. The advance party of the medical corps is already in camp at the Show Grounds, and the main body will go out to-morrow under the command of Major F. J. Borric. The strength is about 150. To-morrow, also, an advance party, representing tho non-secondary school cadets of tho Southern Command, will cuter camp at Burnham to preparo the way for.the camp of the officers and N.C.O.'s of non-secondary school cadets which will open on Tuesday. About SCO will attend this camp under the command of Lt.-Col. N. AV. B. B. Thorns. Other units to go into camp, and their camping places and strengths are as, follows:—lst Canterbury Regiment, Burnham, 1000, February 2nd; A.S.C., Burnham, 200, February 9th; Boys' High School Cadets, Burnham, 450. February loth; 10th Battery, Homebush, 150, February loth; 9th Batterv, Homebush, 150, February 24th; 16th Battery, Homebush, 150, March sth:'Engineers. Burnham, 290, February 24th; Ist Mounted Rifles, Trotting Club's grounds, 400 men and 275 horses, March 30th;. Technical College Cadets, Burnham, 250, March sth; St. Andrew's College Cadets, Burnham, 150, April 7th. Camps are also being held in the Nelson, Marlborough, "West Coast, Otago, and Southland districts during the next few weeks. During the sitting of tlie medical conference in Dunedin, a staff course for medical units will be held near Dunedin on February sth. On Tuesdny next Colonel M. M. Gard'ner will inspect the medical corps at the Show Grounds, and on Wednesday he will go south to make an inspection of tho 14th Battery in camp at Matarac. The southern camp will be as follows: —14 th Battery. Matarac, 180, January loth; 12th Battery, Dunedin, 180, January 19th; 11th Battery, In Vercaraill, 130, January 26th; Southland Resriment, Castle Rock, 600, January lGth.
