MR H. Y. FULTON.

PUNEDIN, Janunry 10
The death occurred suddenly at his home, ''Ravcnscliffe, 1 ' Outram, on Sat* mday night, of Mr Herbert Valpy Fulton, at the age of 86 years. For many years Mr Fulton was a prominent farmer on the Taiori. He was a son of the late Hon. James Fulton, M.L.C., and a brother of the late Dr. R. V. Fulton. He was born at Oulram ana was brought up there. After several years at the Otago Boys' High School, he entered the service of the Bank of New Zealand, where he was employed for some years. He was connected with the Qtago A. and P. Society, first as an executive member, then as president, and later as secretary and treasurer, a position which he held for Hiany years. After relinquishing this post he returned, to the p:!d homestead, "Ravenscliffe," at Ofltr ram, and engaged in farming pursuits. His services were in frequent demanr! as a judge of sheep at agricultural shows, and he was considered an expert in the breeding of Romnoy Marsh. His death was, quite (inspected.

Mr Douglas Pielou, Conservative member of the House of Commons for Stourbridge, is dead. [Mr Douglas Pereival pielou, a retired civil servant, has represented Stourbridge in the House of Commons since 1922. He joined the Cameron Highlanders at the outbreak of the war anil was severely wounded at the Battle of Ws, necessitating his using clutches. He was Accountant to the Ministry for "Munitions, a member of the-Advisory Committee to the Ministry of Pensions, and a vice-president of the British Empire Services League!]
