The funding of the war debt to Britain has caused the greatest enthusiasm. The officers of the Brnga garrison offer a contribution of £1 each, and the secondary school teachers have opened a national subscription. A movement is supported by the newspapers to liquidate the debt by December 31st as a war memorial.
