Jersey has been without an- AttoraoyGeneral for some years; as the salary was only £2OO there were no applications. Recently the States adopted a recommendation to contribute £4OO towards the salary with a grant of £l2O a year for the Crown solicitor's fees, and a vote of £2OO towards the Solici-tor-General's salary. The Home Secretary states that the Government has no ohiVetion, and the Official Recorder is writing to him in the name of the States asking the Government to appoint an Attorney-General with as little delay as possible.
