AVON CLUB. The forty-fourth annual meeting of the Avon Rowing Ohib was held in tho boatsheds last night, tiiero being a largo attendance of members present. Mr R. E. Kightingalo presided. • The report and balance-sheet (already published) were adopted. The chairman congratulated tho club upon having, for tho first time in its history, no liabilities. It was decided to send a letter to Mir T. H. Grenfell (Union Bowing Club) wishing him a speedy recovery. Tho following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr W. Lamb; president, Mr C. Agassiz; Press steward, Mr G. Tj. Young. It was decided to recommend that October 17th he the opening day.
