CREW'S HEROISM.

IIOBART, September The crew of the ill-fated KaJamu arrived here aboard 'he Kanna. Captain Huntley, who commanded the Karamu, paid a tribute to the pluck and wonderful endurance of the crew and also to the seamanship of Captain Murray, of the Kanna.
Considerable difficulty was experienced in getting the crew of the Karamu on to the Kanna. At times it. appeared as if there would be loss of life. On account of the heavy se;is u was impossible for the Kanna 9 boats to get close to the Karamu, and for ;i considerable time the men were drifting about on rafts. The men who pulled to shore from the Karamu yesterday were rescued, after being located by means of smoke signals. They wero towed to the Kanna.
All the men suffered severely from cold.
