CASUALTIES.
(press association telegram.) AUCKLAND, July 3. At the inquest on Ernestine Emma Fclton, a married woman, 19 years of age, who died from injuries received by being knocked down by a motorcar driven by Owen Cockroft, on May 27th, the Coroner, Mr W. R. Mc-Kean, said: "I am under the impression the driver was 'travelling faster than he says, but am not prepared to send the case for prosecution." OAMARU, July 3Herhert Tladd, aged 39, who had been an inmate of the hospital for 18 months, committed suicide by cutting his throat with a razor. Radd had been a rabbiter at Kurow.
