FLOCK HOUSE BOYS.
(r-BESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) PALMERSTON N., July 1. The annual reunion of the Flock House boys, extending over three days, was concluded yesterday. Of the twenty-five boys comprising the first draft, twenty attended the reunion. They assembled on the estate by Sunday, when a united service was conducted. Monday given up to athletic sports, and yesterday to soccer matches and other athletic event. Addressing the lads, the Hon. E. Newman, chairman of the trustees' fund, said that 114 boys had come out under the scheme. Fifty had gone out to farms in different parts of the Dominion and were earning wages, and widening then- experience preparatory to being assisted by the fund to commence operations on their own account. He stressed the fact that the whole scheme must be made a commercial success. He was satisfied they were working on the right lines, and he exhorted the boys to be diligent, stating that the coping stone of the whole scheme was the knowledge obtained about what became of each boy. Several letters received from farm-, ers employing Flock House boys were read, showing the progress pjade by them and also the care taken to make a success of their work.
