A spell of even play followed, and then Deans and Bean broke away wilh the ball at foot, and carried it in 6plendid style from half-way to within a yard of Cnlverden's goal line, where Deans picked up and finished off a, fine of play by going over for 11 good try. P. Stewart took the kick and piloted the ball safely between th« uprights. Time was called shortly afterwards, leaving Waiau winners by 5 points to 3. Mr C. P..
