A letter v.-a.s received from the New Zealand Union advising that the <ups and trophies won by the 3'J2-J All Blacks -were being shipped to C'hristchurch. The Union that they be placed on view for one vveck and then sent south. The New Zealand Union v.-rote suggesting that Ihe Canterbury Union should make a donation of ~ - lis "towards the memorial to the late H. C. Uennett. manager of the Springboks team which toured the Dominion in 19LM. Jt was decided to make the donation suggested. The Malvern Union intimated that they intended to challenge for the Delargev Shield. They also that the junior represenrative teams of the Union piay against a third-grade Canterbury team. It was decided to send the challenge for the Delartroy Shield to the Kllosmert* SubUnion. and to hold over the other challenge until matches were being allocated. A letter was received from the "Wellington Union suggesting that a dale be fixed for the junior match* Wellington v. Canterbury.

It was decided to suggest that the inat'-h be played on August Bth. prior to the senior representative match between the two provinces at Wellington. The Canterbury Hockey Association wrote for permission to use the Lancaster Park oval on August Jst iW the mat-h Canterbury v. Australia, prior to the Rugby representative gnnif azainst Southland, and asked for a grant of i'so, as was made on a previous occasion.

It was decided to accede to the request. Mr A. T>. Moore, referee in the third grade ((' section) match, Kiccnrton v. New Brighton, reported having ordered off two Jticcarton players. one for using had language, and the other for disputing his decision. The referee attended, together with the two players concerned, who admitted the offences.

It, was decided to caution both players and advise the club of the notion taken; also to draw the attention of the clubs to the fact that bad language had been used during the match. An application was received from the "West Spreydon Tennis and Debating C-lnb for a donation from the proceeds of the Charity Day match on July »ith. The letter stated that one of the objects of the club was to provide funds for the civilian patients in the Cashmere Hills sanatoria, or dependants.

The chairman paid it was probable that about i'CO would be required from the proceeds of the Charity Day match to equip a playing ground for the fresh air home for children at Cashmere.

Mr Moloney suggested that portion of the gate should be allocated to the Coal and Blanket Fund.

The Wanganui Union wrote asking for assistance for the wife and infant children of the late P. X. Glasson, a "NVanganui footballer.

It was agreed to include all the objects mentioned when making allocations, and that the Finance Committee make a recommendation as to the amounts to be allocated in each instance.

A protest from the New Brighton Club concerning a player in the Albion fifth grade team being over age, was referred to the club concerned.
