KAIKOURA ASSOCIATION. Owing to the infantile'paralysis epidemic, the St. .-.. Patrick's . Sports Association at Kaikoura waa compelled to postpone its annual sports. It was then intended that tho sports shoidd take place on June 3rd, but weather conditions wore unfavourable, and they were ■held on Friday in fine weather, with a good attendance of the public. B. Clark annexed the 75yds, 120 yds, and 220 yds, while J. Flaherty wasi the runner-up in each event. Tho results are as follows: "120 yds maiden—R. Clark and R. -Bailey (dead heat) 1, J. Harnett 3. The latter pair won in the record time of ISscc. Various races were held for the children, and several competitions also took place.
