VENEREAL DISEASES.
REGULATIONS APPROVED BY CABINET. ' Cabinet approved, on Friday of the new regulations governing venereal disr eases, ■which were publishedsome weeks ago. The date from which the regulations will come into force will be prescribed in the necessary Order-in-Council, which will probably be published in i-he "Gazette" next week. A deputation will wa*it on the Minister of Health. (Sir Maui Pomnre) early this week to lodge a protest against the compulsory nptification clause, but it'is'extremely^unlikely (says the "Post'.') that the representations will result in any l alterations in the regulations, which have been drawn xvp after'very full-investigations' and consideration.by a Royal Commission.
