"THI nSSS.'* Sir,—ln connexion with the paragraph in to-day's "Press" ro "Supposed Strad Violin" discovered at Bangiora, dated 1742, I wish to state that I possess a violin bearing a ticket insido inscribed: "Antonius StradinTarias Cremonemis Faciebat Anno 1736." The 17 is printed and # the 36 in Indian ink. My grandmother, in Lancashire, England, made nic a present of this instrument. If it is of interest, it is open for inspection at address below.
