INFANTILE PARALYSIS.

LATEST NOTIFICATIONS.

Onlv one suspected ease of infantile paralysis was notified at noon yesterdav: —

Boy, two and a half years, Cranford street, St. Albans. Of previously-reported eases three have proved to be negative and two posKive. They are:— Boy, 11 months, Clare road (negative).

Boy, two and a half years, Stanmore road (positive). Boy, one year and seven months, Ham road, Ricvarton (negative). Youth, 20 years, Hagley street, Riccarton (negative). Boy, three years and a half, North Beacii (positive).

The cases which are in the Christchurch Hospital are progressing satisfactorily, and good results are still l>eiiig obtained from the serum which is being used. Two cases of infantile paralysis were notified to the Health Officer between nnon and 10 p.m. yesterday. Details are. as follows: —

Child, age and sex unstated, "Westport.

Girl, three years of age, "V\ aitohT, South Canterbury.

CASE AT WESTPORT. C (PBESS ASSOCIATION" '.ELSGSAJI.) WESTPORT, April 20. A girl aged two years was admitted to the Hospital to-day suffering from infantile paralysis. NEW CASE AT TIMARU. (special to "the press.") TIMARU, April 20. A fresh case of infantile paralysis, that of a girl aged three years, was admitted to the Timaru Hospital to-day from Waitohi. No change is reported in the condition of any of tho Hospital patients. FRESH CASE AT GISBORNE. (TBE3S ASSOCIATION TELEQKAM.) GISBORNE, April £O. After the lapse of a fortnight, another case of infantile paralysis was reported in Gisborno to-day, the patient being a girl, aged one year awl eleven months. DOMINION NOTIFICATIONS. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TILgORAIt.) WELLINGTON, April _ 20. The following notifications of infantile paralysis for tho twenty-four hours ending at 9 a.m., have been received by the Health Department: —Whangarei 1; New Plymouth 1; Stratford 1; Wanganui 1; Paremata 1; Christchurch 1; Collingwood 2.
