LONDON, April 20
A world wide appeal for funds to restore Stoke Pogps Church purchase the adjoining ten acres has been fully successful. The land will shortly be handed over as a National trust, and Gray's Church will thus be saved as a beauty spot. Australians and New Zealanders subscribed generously.. The churchyard at Stokes 1 Poges was the scene of Gray's "Elegy." Ir. lithe poet and his mother axe buriea.
