VALUELESS CHEQUES.
(PSSSS ASSOCIATIOS TSLEOaAK.) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 19. Thomas Charles Williams, with several aliasesf appeared, at. the Magistrate's Court this; morning;, charged with being idle and. disorderly. This charge subsequently was withdrawn. Accused .was further charged on three counts of obtaining money fraudulently by means of valueless cheques for amounts totalling' £SQ. On the first two charges he pleaded guilty, and on the thirdi charge- was'-remanded to appear at Napier on- November 27th. Accused was sentenced to : three months' imprisonment on each of the two charges, the sentences to bo cumulative. ' •
