CITY PROPERTY.

WORCESTER STREET BLOCK. Negotiations are proceeding for the sale of the bloelt of buildings in Worcester street adjoining the Gas Company's offices. The block in question is the property of the Government Life Insurance Department, and, it is stated, came into the ownership of the Government when the assets of the old Midland Railway Company were taken over, that company having their offices in the building. Until quite recently, when the now municipal buildings were opened, tho whole of the first floor of the Worcester street property was tenanted by various departments of the City Council. The ground floor ofiiecs aro in private occupation.
