THE GOVERNORGENERAL.
VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH. The Governor-General, Lord Jellicoe, arrived in Christchurch from Wellington yesterday morning, and during the forenoon conducted the opening ceremony of the Bridge of Remembrance. He returned to Wellington by the Maori last evening.
LAST FORTNIGHT IN NEW ZEALAND.
'(SPECIAL TO "THE PRIS3.") WELLINGTON, November 11: The date of Lord Jellicoe's departuro from New Zealand has been fixed, for the 25th inst. He will leave for Sydney in the Tahiti on that date, and, with his family, will afterwards travel .in one of the mail boats via Suez. It is understood that he will spend some time in Egypt en route to England. ~ The Wellington civic farewell to Lord Jellicoe will be in the Town Hall on the £4th inst. On Saturday evening his Excellency will entertain Ministers of the Crown at a farewell dinner in Government House.
The Governor-General-elect is due here about .the middle of next month.
