SATISFACTORY FIGURES FOR SEVEN MONTHS.

The revenue for tho first seven months ot the current financial year to October 31st, amounts to £12,951,845, and tho expenditure to £14,462,129. These figures may be regarded as satisfactory, seeing that the land and income-tax for the year, has yet to be accounted, as well as the usual heavy customs duties for importations for the summer season. The principal increases in revenue are:— £ Customs ... ... 234,844 Post and Telegraph ... 96,412 Railways ... 210,293
