NEW YORK, October 27.

A telegram from Chicago statos that Albert Loeb, father' of the youthful murderer Richard Loeb, who has been brooding over his son's fate, died at his residence.

Mr Loeb's health had been steadily declining, and his feelings, long torn between grief for his owji and compaeBion for the victim's family, induced persistent melancholia, from which he was unable to recover.
