OBITUARY.
Tho death occurred at Christchuroh on Tuesday of Mr William MorrLsh, formerly a well-known boot importer on the West Coast. He was for many years in business at Hokitika, and later 1 in Greymouth. Ho took up bis residence in Christclmrdli about ten years ago. j The death occurred at the Napier i Hospital on Tuesday of Mr Alexander i : Hamilton at the ajje of 62 years. Bora [at Newton Stewai;t, County Tyrone, | Ireland, the deceased came to New Ztaat the age of 19 in tlio ship \\ ai- ; lcato, landing at Lyttelton. He married in New Zealand, and later went to : Canada with his wife and three children, settling in Manitoba. Some yo.ire later Mr Hampton returned to Neiv Zealand, this time landing at Auckland, afterwards returning to the Soullii island. Subsequently he put in 12 years on the staff of the ketone workshops, and removed to Napier ten years ago. Mr William Mouat, of Brooklyn, whose death occurred at the Wellington Hospital on Saturday, was the eldest son of the late Mr Barclay Mouat, an old identity on the West Co<ist, having arrived there many years ago from 1 the Shetland Islands. It was only a . few years ago that Mr William Mouat, | who was 57 j'ears of age, went to AVelf lington- from the West Coast, and for i about two years lie had been in illhealth. A widow and sons and three daughters are left to mourn their loss. Members of the family include: Mr W. Mouat, relieving ftitionmaster in the Auckland district, and Constable F. Mouat, of the Police Force, Palmerston North.
