. CORDIAL SEND-OFF FROM Wellington. t \ (SPECIAL TO "TIIE rRBS9.") ] WELLINGTON, April 14. | The Prime 'Minister left Wellington tor Auckland this evening, en routo to London. Ho was accompanied by Mrs Mos&ey and Miss Mas9ey.' Mr Masscy had a, particularly streniious day in Wellington to-day. The negotiations regarding butter occupied a part of his time, arid he had a mass ot work to complete. With his departure, for London a hundred matters of detail required his attention, and very many people wished to bid him farewell personally. Telegrams wishing him bon voyage and congratulating him on tho result of the Patca by-election reached him in bundles during tho day. He was working at his office until within an hour or so ot the departure of the train for Auckland. Many personal friends went to tho Thorndon station to say good-bye to the Prime Minister and Mrs Massey. Tho Ministerial party on board the train was a large one, as tho Hons. D. H. Guthrie, W. Nosworthy, J. G. Coates, and Dr. Pomare were accompanying Mr Massey to Auckland. Hearty oheers for tho Prime Minister <md his Imperial mission were given as the train moved out of the Btation. Among the telegrams that were received by Mr Massey to-day was the f ollowinir message from the chiefs of tho Arawa Tribe: "Arawa desire you as the Dominion appointed chief to convey tfy his 'Mnjesty.,their-cordial greetings, to his Royal Hichness the Prince of Wales their Uvely and pleasant recollections of his visit, and to both their Rtearlfnst loyalty. .Please also greet Sir William Herries, and give him an extra - hondshnko for and on behalf of Te. Arawa Tr'be: and, as for yourself, we wish you God-spred and God's guidance in tho important world matters placed before you, and a safe return."
