FREEZING WORKS EMPLOYEES.
BONUS OFFER REJECTED. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAMS.) HASTINGS, November 9. Workers at the Tomoana, Pakipaki, Whakatu, and North British Freezing Works havo decided to reject the offer of the employers to increase tne« present cost of living bonus by 12£ per cent. They have also decided not to apply for work next season, unless better terms are offered. GISBORNE, November 9. At meetings of workers held at Tokomaru, Gisborne, and Waipaoa, the offer of the employers to increase tho present cost of living bonus by 12J per cent, was rejected, and it was unanimously decided to request the Federation to open up further negotiations with the employers on tlie basis of the demands already submitted.
