A message from Kovno says that } General Wrangel has been surrounded ' and cut off from his base. The Bolsheviks have captured much booty. " A narrow"ESCAPE." (Received November 9th, 8.55 p.m.) LONDON. November 9. According to the "Daily Telegraph," General "Wrangel had a narrow escape, but his forces have not been annihilated. He now holds a_ strong line of defended marshes. Probably the Reds will be able to hold up General AVrangel and send its main forces against PoJand. TERRORISM IN MOSCOW. ("The Tim«s.") ABO (Finland), November 7, Death sentences imposed by the Moscow tribunal during September totalled 1286, mostly on charges of treason'or desertion. Twenty persons were executed for drunkenness.
