j <, I The annual mesting of - the Presbyterian ' Sabbath School "Union took place iu St. i Peter's Sunday school, on Tuesday, there j being a representative meeting of teachers. The annual report and balance-sheet were I read and adopted, both being very satisfactory. A motion of sympathy was passed ! with Mr ffm. (Joss in his recent beroave- ! ment, members standing. The meeting also passed a motion of sympathy with the Rev. C. Murray, an ex-president cf the Union, in his present illness. The following officers were elected: —President, the Rev. "\V, T. Todd; vice-presidents, the Revs. D. D. Rodger and W. Tanner; secretary. Mis 3 "Webster (re-elected); reporter?, Mr G. Burn fcT "Outlook," and Miss H. S. Thomson for local newspapers. During the evening a most interesting "addreFs on "The Problems of English Sunday Schools," was given by Mrs Hoatson, a visitor to Xew Zealand. A vote of thanks waa passed to Mrs Hoataon for her kindness in addressing tho meeting, at the close of which refreshments wers served by the local teachers.
