An investigation of tho Japanese immigration question will be made on the Pacific Coast during tJie summer by members of the Immigration Commitrteo of Congross. Senator Phelan, of California, has asked the Committee to investigate the situation with a view of lonewing efforts for the passage of pending legislation which will bar all Japanese immigrants from the Pacific Coast, and nrohibit Japanese children born in tho tlnited States from acquiring citizenship.
