Tho elections passed without incident, with the exception of some disturbances at Essen. _ . The polling has been heavy, and it is estimated that at least 80 per cent, of the electors voted. It is believed that the People's Party j and the Independent Socialists have! ' made good progress in Berlin and the ctfuntry districts, and that tho Demo-j crats and Plural Socialists have lost; ground. LONDON, June 7. Tho last Gorman Assembly was com- ' posed of 163 Social Democrats, 89' i Centre Catholics, 74 Democrats, 42 : National People's Party, 22 Independents, 22 German People's Party. (Keuter's Telegrams.) BERLIN, June 7. Those elected fo the Garman Assembly include:— Democrats: Herren Dernberg and Bauer (ex-Minister of Defence). People's Party:' Dr. von Helfferich. Independents: Herren Trace, Zeetz, and George Ledebour. The election of Dr. Erzeberger is re- ; garded as assured. Count Bernstorff i : (formerly Ambassador to Washington) i has been defeated.
