In the House of Commons at question time .Mr Austen Chamberlain, Chancellor of tho Exchequer, stated that after carefully considering the suggested scheme for a levy on war wealth in the report of the Commi - | tec on War Wealth, the Government 1 had concluded that the dargers ot sucli j a levy altogether outweighed the acij vantages. It had therefore decided not , to take the proposals in that sense.
