At a meeting of tho executive of tho Marlborough Shcopowncrs* Union. Mr H._T>. Vavasour, who has been president of tho I'nion sinco its inception in 1903, tondorotl liis resignation of the position owing to his impending departure for England. Tho members present expressed tho regret they felt at tho severance of Mr Vavasour's active interest in tho Union, and their appreciation of his long and able services.
