• UNION ROWING CLUB. . I Last week the Union Rowing Club got off tho Senior Double Sculls, for a prize prei aented -by the lifo members of the club. Some very fine racing was witnessed, and much enthusiasm displayed by spectators and members generally. During tho intervals between | tho different heate, the . opportunity was I taken to row off the New Members' Pairoar race. This was very keenly contested by tho different crews. The results of the racing wero as follows: — Life Members' Double Sculls—H. Adkins and F. Foster beat J. M. Hedlund and L. I Kirk; T. H..Grenf©H and G. Logan beat L. Gregory and W. Whittington;/F. Adkins und L. Donnelly beat F. Freeman and B. Palmer; F. Adkins and L. Donnolly beat H. C. Ross and G. Fildcs; H. Adkins and F. Foster beat T. H. Grenfell and G. Logan. Final: H. Adkins and F. Foster beat F. Adkins and L. Donnelly. New Members' - Pair-oar Race—P. J. MeCormack and E. Paiercou beat W. McLean and J. Kellar; C. Ward and A. Calder beat T. Nunan and E. Thotnfon; C. Ward and A. Caldcr beat P. J, McCormack and E. Paterson; A. Beardsley and B. Grenfell beat 11. Ward and R. Treadwoll: J. Ellis and R. Christiansen beat 11. McDonald and C. Makon; J. Ellis and R. Christiansen beat A. Beardsley and B. Grenfell. Tho final was won by Ellis and Chris Hansen, who showed fine form throughout the competition.
