WELLINGTON, January 21. The Hon. A. M. Myers stated to-day that ho had devoted much time with those concerned in obtaining further supplies of coal and adjusting the quantities immediately available, so as to keep tlio more important public services going. As a result it was hoped to tide over the present difficulty, which had been created by the epidemic and the holidays. Having provided for industries to tho best advantage, action Was now being taken to improvo tho position of household supplios, in the Wellington district in particular.
