The wounded and troops aboard the transport N<* them Pacific, which went ashore at Fire Islaiid, have been landed. The passengers and the vessol are not in danger. Fifteen soldiers fell into the surf, but were rescued. Many soldiers were rescued by means of a breeches buoy. Four who were taken out of an overturned surf-boat, ■were unconscious when they were dragged out of the water by the rescuing parties.
