DEMOBILISATION.
PLANS FOR THE RELEASE OF SOLDIERS. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright i (Australian and C&bl© Association.) (Received January 3rd, 8.20 p.m.) LONDON, January 1. Marshal Foch, in consultation with Sir Douglas Haig and other generals, has decided that the size of the Allied army needed in France leaves a large margin for demobilisation. On a selective basis 10 t OOO men can bo discharged daily. This numbor can be increased to 22,000 if a non-selective basis is adopted, with the same transport facilities.
