CASUALTIES.
3lr Daniel Lynch, aged 78 a a farmer at Dromore, dropped dead on the Main South road yesterday morning. He was a well-known farmer, and had resided in the Asliburton County for about 31 years LoiiTs Rolands, employed at tho Islington Freezing "Works, was shirung a piece of machinery yesterday, when it fell, and cut off half of ono of his fingers. Ho was admitted to tbo Hospital for treatment. Leonard Charles Smith, a member of the 41st Reinforcements, whoso home is ax Balcairn, and who was down on final leave, was admitted to tho Christchurch Hospital last night, suffering from injuries to his right hand, received while he was out shooting. An operation was performed, and the fourth finger amputated.
