CANTERBURY CLUB. The junior section of the Canterbury Flying Club hold two very eucceseful raccs last Saturday from Waikari and Culverden. The weather was all that could be desired, and fast velocities were recorded. The winner of the Waikari race proved to be Mr Jv". Harvey's bird, which travelled, the 38 miles 1330 yards air line in 40 minutes 15 seconds. Results: — N. C. Harvey'e bird (velocity 1694 yards a jninute), 1; Mr Robinson's bird (velocity 1649 yards a minute), 2; Mr Robscm's bird (velocity 1605 yards a minute), 3; Mr Leonard's bird (velocity 1559 yards a minute), 4. The following is the result of the Culverden race, N. Harvey's bird travelling the distance of 54 miles 1320 yards in 1 hour 9 minutes 28 seconds:— N. C. Harvey's bird (velocity 1387 yards a minute), 1; P. Leonard's bird (velocity 1382 yards a minute), 2; Mr Robinson's bird (velocity 1363 yards a minute), 3; Mr Robeon's bird (velocity 1361 yards a minute), 4.
