The Austrians and Germans continue to plunder, destroy,, and rape like savages, throughout the occupied Italian districts. Many women and girls have comj mittcd suicide as a result of the soldiers' brutality. The inhabitants are left starving, the Germans fearing that they will revolt if taken to prison camps. In connexion with the blowing up of the Cengio Dynaoig factory in February, 1916, three of the perpetrators, Galti, Pojazzano, and Lazzetti have been shot. <
