Tho first part of tho evening was devoted to tho practice of bandaging in first aid, after which Mrs Whit taker gave an address upon her roccnt visits to various hospitals in America, .'or which eho was accorded a vote of thanks. NEW BRIGHTON CONVALESCENT HOME. The annual meeting of subscribers tbo New Brigliton Convalescent Homo was hold yesterday, Mrs T. A. B. Bailey presiding over a fairly large gathering. The following officers were rc-clected:—President, Mrs JuJius; vice-presidents, Mcsdamea Bailey, Bowcn, and \V. J. Moore; Admitting Committee/ Mesdamee Black burne, liane, and Garbott; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mis® A. il. Ollivier. Amounts were passed and the annual report road and approved, Me»dames Bailey, Blackburno, W. J. Moore, Pairman Miss Ross, and 1 tbo hon. secretary were appointed a sub-committee to consider th© erection of an observation ward for case 3 likely to prove infectious.
