RHODE ISLAND RED CLUB.
» The monthly meeting of tho Rhode lelund. Bed Club was held on Tuesday. Mr Cooper (president) presided over a good muster of members. The chief business of the evening was a demonstration by Mr Geo. H. Ambler on several young birds, at the closo of which he answered several questions. It waa decided to hold members' ehjrwa in the clubroom each meeting, at which a silver spoon will be given for the best bird on each occasion. It was also agreed that the judge be elected from the club'« members, exclusive of the club judge (Mr Ambler). Mr Cooper (the president) will adjudicate at the first show of cockerels, to be hold oil March 2let. One of the members present promised the first spoon. It was stated that two pens of birds bad been given to the Hanmer Convalescent Camp for invalided soldiers. In reply to a letter from Aahburton. asking the club to nominate a. judge for Rhode Island Reds and other claesos, it was unanimously decided to recommend Itr Geo. B. Ambler.
