NORTHERN A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

A General Committee meeting of the Northern. Agricultural and i-'astoral Association -was hold yesterday, Mr J. I>. AVyllie presiding. Mr J:L T. Mutnerell tendered his resignation from the committee owing to Jiis not being able to attend the meeting;;.

Messrs A. H. Turnbull and C 0.,: on behalf of Messrs isempthorne, Prosser and Co., wrote offering on bclialf of tiic proprietors of the '"Hockland manures" a special "kiwi'' trophy of the value of ill 1 2s. The allotting of t£e trophy was left with the Schedule Committee. Mr A. R. Turnbnll forwarded a donation of £ 1 Is for a spceial prize in tho sheep classes. 'Inn rccommcndations of the committee appointed as to the alterations to the soiled',ile were adopted with one alteration. Mr H. A. Archdall was elected to the committee in place of Mr H. T. Metherell, and Messrs AY. A. Bowse and Owen Hope were clcctcd members of the Association. The tender of Messrs Davey and Efl'orcl for £31 10s to oroct a vank-stand and a •100-gallon. tank, ami to. provide washing basins for the committee rooms, was accepted.

Alter some discussion it was decided that as the Show was again being run on patriotic lines, 20 per cent, of the funus be allocated to each of the following local societies:—l'ed Cross, Lady Liverpool, Y.M.C.A., and the N .A.)'. Association. It, ivas also decided that n Surprise Packet Day bo organised, and a Cafe Chantont entertainment be held in the evening of the same day. Mr J. Johns, with Messrs "\V. A. Banks and John Foster, were appointed to organise and supervise the Shew arrangements in tiiis connexion. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mr C. A. Cunningham'in the loss cf his son in Franco.
