Miss E. Beck, who drew the raffle, pulled her own name out of 240 others. At- the end of the concert a dance was held. Miss Haughty .supplying the music and Mr J. Parish acting as M.C. The total proceeds of the conceit will be about £17, including special donations from Mrs j. Parish, Mrs J. Moles, and Mr Straw. FLLESMEBE. Lambing is now general throughout the Ellesmere district., and the weather conditions, on the whole, have been very favourable. The strong southwest gale which sprang up yesterday afternoon, about 3 o'clock, was not welcomed by flock-owners, but as there is plenty of good shelter on most farms in the district it is unlikely that rough weather wonld do very much harm.
