Prince Adalbert, third son of the Kaiser, has been betrothed to Princess Adelaide, niece of tho Duke of Sach-sen-Meiningeii. Prince Oscar, the fifth son of th 9 Kaiser, and Fraulein Bassewitz, vrero married quietly. The Imperial family were present. Fraulein Bassewitz was a Lady-in-Waiting on the Empre&s, and at first the Kaiser opposed the engagement, as tho lady was beneath his son's rank.
