DAMAGES £100. (mESS ASSOCIATION' TKLEGBASt.) WANGANUI, Juno 4. Regarding tho telegram received from Wanganui yesterday in tho case of Patterson v. Smytho, a claim for £2000 for libel, Mr T. M. Wilford, M.P., counsel for the defence, points out that the verdict of the jury was uot for £1000, as stated in telegram, but for £100, .and costs on tho lowest scale.
