NEW BRIGHTON.

The members of the New Brighten Marine Bund, together with the Senior Cadets, Fire Brigade, the School Committee, and scholars of the State School, assembled on the pier at ,9.15 o'clocl., and formed up into a procession. They then proceeded to the school grounds, followed by a largo number of the residents, where they were addressed by tiie chairman of tho School Committee, Mr C. H. Winny. The National Anthem was tlien sung, and at a signal the flag was unfurled by Captain A. W. Owles, the. Cadets giving tho general salute, and the band playing "God Save the King." Stirring and patriotic addresses were then given by Mr C. H. Opio and Captain Owles, after whjcli the gathering dispersed.
