SYDENHAM BAND OF HOPE.
Tho monthly meeting of the. Sydenham United Band of Hope was hold in the Methodist Hall on Monday evening, when Mr J. Horsley presided over a good attendance. The B*ev. T. W. Yea-ie gave an interesting and instructive address, and the programme was as followßi-r-Piauo solos, Misses Margery Lake, li. Southim, and M. Sbjrrifis; recitations. Misses Ruth Schumacher, C. Cameron,. and Flak, and-Masters C. Toag_e and J. Sonthain; vocal solos, Misses Bertha and M.'-Cooper, Irene. Duncan, and Master Len Cu-xmins;'piano duet, Misses Shirrifia_d Thomson. Several pledges were taken, and the chairman presented a number of pledge c&tds.
