TEMUKA.
The Company flag of tho Old Temuka Volunteers is to be deposited in St. Peter's Church. Temuka, on Sunday week next. Tho S.C. Regimental Band will be in attendance,.' and it ia anticipated that there will be an imposing array of. old Volunteers and ex-contiii-gentors. The Temuka Citizens' and Temuka Territorial M.R. Clubs held their weekly shoots on Tuesday. In tho former Mr C. Wareins won Mr W. J. Keys's trophy, and m tho latter Mr W. Husband won A. Gabitos's trophy. Scores, 70 in each case.
At tho monthly meeting of the Tomuka Technical Classes' managers, it was decided to line the ceiling of tho wool-class room to prevent the cold striking down through the iron roof. The reports on all classes wero satisfactory. There was a largo gathering of parishioners of St. Joseph's Church, in the Catholic rooms, Temuka, on Wednesday evening, to bid farewell to the popular priest, Rev. Father Lo Zer, who has been appointed assistant to tho Very Rev. Dean Tubmau: On behalf of tho ■parishioners. Mr W. Halley presented the Father with a purse of sovereigns, and on behalf of tho Children of Mary, Kerrington, Miss Fitzgerald presented the Fathor with an inscribed gold fountain pen. A number of speakers referred to Father Le Zer's splendid qualities, and the guest feelingly responded. ' • •■ •
