The half-yearly meeting 0 f tho Bud of Hope Lod»e of Druids was held on Monday. evening, when the nominations for the officers for the next term were received.. The lodge decided to send letters of condolence and svnraathv to tho Grand Lodge of Australia", ard to Airs Brenah. owing to the death of Bro. J. J. Brena'n, the Grand A.D. of the Order in Australia ard New.Zealand. Bro. J. Sutcliffe. who is leaving for Christchurch. took occasion to bid the members good-bye, ard it was* decided to forward him a letter of thanks for h's past services, he having held the office of treasurer for over twenty-seven years. It was pronoßpd to ttlav a game of cards with the Fire Brisadc members early rcxt week, and to "?- a visit to the Kaiapoi Lodce oip their installation night. One candidate was admitted a member.
