GRAND THEATRE.
Thero wero large attendances at the Grand Theatre yesterday, when a change of programmo was presented. The principal item, "A Southern Cinderella," was a delightful modern version of the noted fairy tale. Tho Cinderella in the case is the daughter of a Southern colonel, who has married a Northern wife, who also possesses a daughter. When tho war breaks out tiio Prince Charming appears in the form of a young Northern officer, who ?neets the (Southern girl at .a dance at which her step-sister is bent on carrying off the honours, presses a martial suit and finally marries the girl just on the eve of a big battle. In tho conflict tho Northern officer is in danger of capture, but his father-in-law, who is in command of the opposing side, sees to it that he gets a good chance to escape. Other pictures wero: "Tho Spirit of Envy," a drama, by Thanhouser; "The Boob's Dream Girl (Hex comedy drama); "How Hβ Won Her" (comedy); "The Eclair Journal," showing the crisis in Ulster; German girl guides; ladies playing lacrosse; the Territorials' holiday; polar pups; latest ladies' fashions and golf tests.
