SYDENHAM PICTURES.
There was a large and appreciative audience at tho Sydenham Tiieatro Ju.st night. Tho feature of tho new programme was a travel film entitled "London by Day and JNight," reproducing mighty, throbbing, living London. ' Tho audience was shown tho Bank of.England, St. Paul's, Holborn Viaduct, Oxford street, tho Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Hammersmith, Fleet street, tho Straud, Trafalgar Square, Pall Mall, Regent street, Leicester, Russell, and Soho squares, tho Thames and its bridges, tho Mansion House, Royal Exchange, tho Art Galleries, and many other interesting places. "Tho Gaumont Graphic" contained an excellent view of the Oxford and Cambridge boat race; "Thieves" (drama), "Marvels of the Invisible World" (Nature study), "Making a Living" (Keystone comic), "One-round O'Brien in the Ring Again" (comedy), and the "Liverpool Grand National," completed tho programme, which will be repeated tonight.
OLYMPTA RINK
Roller skating is widening its circle of popularity as tho season advances. On Saturday tho Olyrania Kink was thronged at all sessions, and the scene presented was one of great jollity and animation. Yesterday, many hundreds of patrons attended, and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Fancy skating is making considerable headway this season, and many of the more prominent skaters aro becoming skilled experts in the more difficult branches* of the art. Tho first carnival of the season a poster and fancy dress, takes jilaco early next month, and should prove a most elaborate and picturesquo affair. To-day the rink will be open at the usual hours.
