HINDS.
There was a fair attendance of parishioners of Hinds Parochial District in Lismoro School on Wednesday evening, when the Rev. G. B. Nanson occupied tho ' chair. The Vicar's report dealt mainly with chnrch attendance, which was good in three centres, but could be improved in others. Mr J. Cook (parishioners' churchwarden) gave details of receipts and expenditure during the year. It was resolved to give a trial to straight-out giving to reduce the debt on the vicarage, and to thank Mr Studholme for his generous offer of a £ for £ subsidy on subscriptions for that object. . Messrs John Price and P. Mulligan were < nominated church officers for Lismore. Votes of thanks were passed to Mr Price (local church offioer), Miss Bell (the' organist), who wasalways at her post, and Mr J. Cook, who had carried out the duties of
churchwarden and lay reader in an efficient nnd energetic manner, especially during the interregnum.
