ASHBURTON.
At' St. Stephen's Church, Ashburton. on Wednesday night, tho Rev. J. R. Burgiri delivered a most- interesting lecture, entitled "My Life in the Sondan." Mr D. Wood presided. The lecturer, who was attired in .Hausa costume, gavo an account of the Hausa people, aud the good that was being done by the Church 3li«ionary Society in hospital, medical, and educational and evangelical work. During the lecture a number of Soudan curios wero exhibited.
